Student Researcher - Climate and Environmental Economics Writing Intern

Break the Bubble

As a writing intern at Break the Bubble, I contribute original, research-driven articles that explore the intersection of climate, economy, and sustainability in India. My role is to take complex environmental and economic issues and translate them into stories that feel relevant, accessible, and inspiring, especially for younger audiences.

During my internship, I have authored featured pieces on topics such as Rajasthan’s Green Budget and the impact of climate change on youth mental health. To strengthen my storytelling, I conduct independent research, design surveys, and collect responses (including 55+ youth perspectives), as well as interview individuals engaged in grassroots climate action.

Each article combines rigorous analysis with a narrative style that emphasizes hope, honesty, and practical change.Collaboration has also been a key part of my experience. I work closely with the editorial team to refine ideas, align tone, and pair writing with visuals that resonate.

This internship has deepened my passion for climate communication, showing me the importance of not just raising awareness but also empowering people, especially Gen Z, to see themselves as active participants in building a sustainable future.

Assistant Account Manager

Sri Sai Ganesh Hospital

I currently assist with managing the financial operations at Sri Sai Ganesh Hospital, where my work focuses on ensuring accuracy in accounts, staff salaries, and pharmacy transactions. My responsibilities include payroll processing, budget management, and financial reconciliation—all essential to keeping hospital services running smoothly.

This role is especially personal to me. When my mother was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), my family faced firsthand the inefficiencies of the healthcare system. We spent months moving between hospitals and doctors, struggling with inconsistent records and high, unanticipated costs. That experience opened my eyes to how much financial clarity and efficiency matter in healthcare, not just for institutions, but for patients and families relying on them.

At Sri Sai Ganesh, I channel that perspective into my work. I’m passionate about streamlining accounting processes, reducing errors, and supporting compliance so that resources can be used where they matter most: improving patient care. By tightening financial operations behind the scenes, I aim to help build a system that is both sustainable for hospitals and compassionate for patients.

Product Intern – Artificial Intelligence Internship Program

Clevered (Advanced Internship, July '24 Cohort)

During this internship, I had the opportunity to bridge my interests in finance, technology, and product development by building Finalytics, a personal finance management app designed to make budgeting and expense tracking simpler. Using Python, I developed features that allowed users to log income and expenses, visualize spending, and gain actionable insights into their financial habits.

This project deepened my understanding of both software development and AI integration, while also pushing me to think like a product designer. Beyond coding, I explored the user journey: how design choices, data presentation, and functionality shape the way people interact with technology.

Finalytics wasn’t just a technical project; it was a chance to apply innovation to a real-world problem. Many people, especially students and young professionals, struggle with personal finance. By building this tool, I learned how technology can empower individuals to take control of their money and make informed financial decisions.

This experience strengthened my skills in Python, data analytics, and AI, while also teaching me about problem-solving, product iteration, and the intersection of fintech and innovation. More importantly, it reinforced my belief that the most meaningful technology isn’t just advanced, it’s accessible, impactful, and human-centered.

ESG Micro-Intern

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

I participated in an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) micro-internship with Tata Consultancy Services as a way to explore career paths at the intersection of business and sustainability. The experience introduced me to how large corporations approach ESG reporting, compliance, and strategy, and I gained insights into the frameworks used to evaluate a company’s environmental and social impact.

While the internship was valuable for learning the fundamentals of ESG, it also gave me space to critically reflect on the field. I came to realize that many ESG practices, though well-intentioned, can feel surface-level, focusing more on reputation and compliance than on genuine environmental change. This perspective has been eye-opening, helping me refine my career goals and motivating me to pursue opportunities where sustainability work is tied to real, measurable impact.
